Three exciting shows feature classic and contemporary music and themes performed by dancers ages 3-adult and some special guests. Dance styles include jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, acrobatic dance, lyrical and more!
Debbi's Dance, Etc. produces three shows over recital weekend to showcase dancers. The show(s) your dancer is performing in is determined by the day(s) of the week he/she takes class.
Dress Rehearsals & Performances will be held at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia, 98501 (Parking can be a challenge downtown, so allow plenty of time!)
Picture Day: **NEW PHOTOGRAPHER THIS YEAR** Professional class and individual pictures will be taken by Parsons Photography, Inc. on Sunday, June 10th at Debbi’s Dance, Etc. Please bring your Picture Order Envelope with you to Picture Day (in your recital packet) – It is specific for your dancer.

Dress Rehearsal: Dress rehearsal will be held on Friday, June 22nd at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia, 98501 (Parking can be challenging. Allow plenty of time!)
Graduating Senior Solos, Etc.: Noon-12:30 PM
Assort Competition Groups: 12:30-1:00 PM (check competition dancer rehearsal info sheet)
Production Co: 1:00-2:00 PM
Show “A” (Thurs/Fri classes): 2:00-4:15 PM

Come through the front doors at the Washington Center. Parents and dancers are welcome to place items in the dressing room and take a seat in the auditorium. We rehearse the Finale first then start at the top of the show, so you can leave after your dancer has rehearsed his/her routine(s). Volunteers will be onsite to greet you and answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to take photos and videos of your dancer’s dress rehearsal performance(s). Flash photography and video is prohibited during the Saturday and Sunday performances.
Tickets: Performers are free for the show(s) they are in. Dancers need to get checked in at the Dancer’s entrance at the front of the building (Back stage doors are not used) and sit in the performer section of the auditorium (first three rows).
General Admission: $15 ($12 + $3.00 WA Center fee). Reserved Loge Section (on the 1st balcony): $21 ($18 + $3.00 WA Center fee). All tickets will be sold at the Washington Center box office and online at www.washingtoncenter.org. Tickets will also be available at Dress Rehearsal and at the door prior to each performance. To order by phone or for info, call the box office at (360) 753-8586. Dancers sitting outside the first three rows need to purchase a ticket.
Tshirts: The Deadline to order commemorative recital t-shirts and tanks to pick up at Dress Rehearsal is Thursday, June 7th. Tshirts and tanks range in price from $22 - $31. Both come in a number of sizes and styles. Some samples are available at Debbi’s Dance, Etc. to try on for size. Tshirts and tanks can be ordered online at https://www.customink.com/g/yta0-00bd-t9rc and at the Debbi’s Dance, Etc. front desk. Additional tshirts may be available to purchase at dress rehearsal…First come-first served.
Performance Logistics: Doors open 1 hour prior to show time. We recommend you arrive with your dancer at that time (Noon for Matinees, 5 p.m. for Eve), The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia, 98501 Dancers performing in the 1st half of the show will wait in the dressing room area. The “Black Box” is the Girls’ Dressing Room and waiting area. There will be a video screen so the girls can watch the show in progress. Boys will have chairs just outside the girls’ dressing room for waiting until performance time and will then be dismissed to watch from the audience.
Dancers performing in the 2nd half of the show will watch the 1st half from the first 3 rows of the auditorium reserved for performers. At intermission, the groups of dancers will switch…1st half dancers will be escorted to the first 3 rows of the auditorium and dancers in the audience will walk to the dressing room area for the 2nd half of the show.
The boys’ dressing room is located backstage just beyond the Black Box. Absolutely no boys or dads downstairs or in the girls’ dressing room and vice versa…no girls in the boys’ dressing room.
Young Dancers: Young classes may have a “class mom” to take them to watch from the audience right after they dance. Parents: If you want to pick up your dancer to sit in the auditorium after they have performed, you are welcome to do so, but please purchase a ticket for them if they are sitting anywhere outside the first three rows. Also, be sure to bring them back to the Black Box or the 1st 3 rows prior to the Finale so they can dance with their teachers!
Finale: We will rehearse the Finale in June. Everyone joins the Teachers onstage at the end of the show for this special number & receives a recital souvenir. Parents, please be sure to have your dancer in the dressing room or the first 3 rows a few numbers before the Finale. 2nd half dancers will come onstage for the Finale from the wings. 1st half dancers will come from the audience. At dress rehearsal we practice the Finale FIRST so you can leave after your class practices!
Recital Dancer Pick up: When the show is over, dancers will remain on stage. Please collect your dancer from the stage or if you deem them old enough, have your dancer meet you in the dressing room or lobby. Please determine and communicate your pick up point with your dancer prior to the show.
Post Show Pictures: After the show, the stage and lobby will remain open for 15 minutes (or so) for picture taking with friends, family and teachers.
